Sometimes when I draw something it is based solely on a mood or feeling. And sometimes I find a reference image to work with that mood. This one is inspired by a poem I wrote years ago by the same title. It is the pain of the pain lies from a loved one can cause and their shrouded eyes when they tell them. And the intuition that you feel, that sinking feeling of knowing those are such such and masked eyes. It is a distinct sort of pain and feeling really.

Hidden Eyes and Golden Lies Print 11X14
Sometimes when I draw something it is based solely on a mood or feeling. I saw this reference image and just felt a vibe with that emotion. It reminded me of a poem I wrote a few years back and that is what inspired this work.

This is the poem that inspired this art piece:
HIDDEN With those hidden eyes and golden lies. The song ends and the dance is done, Everything within dies. Nothing stays in the sun. The song ends and the dance is done, Silence is endlessly loud. Nothing stays in the sun, And truth is never allowed. Silence is endlessly loud, Everything within dies, And truth never allowed. With those hidden eyes and golden lies. N. Albert
