I feel like drawing some mythical creatures. Just to stretch my wings into a different area.
Snakes are an interesting symbol themselves. But for me, when I see them in various areas I think of the human wearing the snake under the skin. When I think of people like this I think of someone who presents a wonderful façade. They are intelligent to be sure but it is more malicious cunning. And its a façade that can fool you, for a bit. But underneath that mask they so carefully maintain they are manipulative, deceitful and liars. They have little to no impulse control or self-awareness and a low self-worth. You see, because inside the snake is full of fears, anxieties and worries. And to boost their low self-worth they will mask it with anything hedonistic that makes them feel better in that very moment. What they will not do is self-reflect, change, grow or develop self-awareness. Too emotionally uncomfortable. So in the moment whatever they indulge in makes them feel better but it also necessitates being manipulative to hide these actions that do not coincide with the image they present to the world. And they can just repeat this over and over without shedding that snake skin. So watch out for snakes in human clothing.
But obviously, as a symbol and this mythical creature as well, snakes can represent a whole variety of things. I was born in the year of the snake, for example. And not everyone born in that year is a true snake under the skin. Thankfully!
Comes in two versions, as I made a graphic from it as well. The graphic is available on Redbubble on various products
